Investment Committee Supports Buying Israel Bonds

Palm Beach County’s Investment Policy Committee (IPC) has agreed to support investing in bonds issued by the State of Israel.  The IPC’s decision came after a recent change to Florida law authorizing, for the first time, county and municipal governments throughout the state to invest in bonds backed by the full faith and credit of the State of Israel.   The IPC approved revised language at its October 18 meeting, sending it to the Board of County Commissioners for final approval.  Commissioners approved the change with a unanimous vote at their regular meeting on December 4.
