Clerk’s Office an Athena Award Finalist
Employees of the Clerk & Comptroller’s office know that their workplace is a great environment to build a career. Now, thanks to the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, the rest of the world knows too! The Clerk’s office was recently named by the Chamber as a 2007 Athena Award finalist.
The Athena Award, which was presented on September 19, recognizes nominees that “promote and implement innovative programs for women within their organizations and demonstrate promotion of women in leadership roles.” Other Athena Award finalists in the Business category – where the Clerk’s office was nominated – include Florida Power & Light, the Hanley Center, Riverside National Bank and the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County. FPL won the award.
