As the largest division in the Clerk's Office, Court Services has over 460 employees assigned to nine departments
in the Central Courthouse, three branch Courthouse locations, and two limited services facilities at
Gun Club Road and Mid-County at Royal Palm Beach. We serve over 100 judicial officers and hundreds of public
and private agencies, as well as the citizens of Palm Beach County.
The division assists in trials, maintains court records, and processes documents to ensure the integrity of files as
well as providing for the efficient and timely flow of information toward the ultimate disposition of each case.
Handling millions of documents yearly, Court Services also ensures that court orders and directives are carried out
timely while collecting and disbursing almost $170 million in court fines, fees and assessments annually.
The administration, collection, and disbursement of family and child support payments by Court Services represents
the largest public function. Court Services also provides civil marriage ceremonies, services related to domestic
violence, mental health, probate, guardianship, traffic fines and collections, and juvenile cases.
In order to address all of these areas, Court Services Division is organized into two separate "sub-divisions":
Civil Court Services and Criminal Court Services.
